Jim and Leslie

Jim and Leslie

Dear Birth Family,

First, and most importantly, Leslie and I truly admire you for the decision you have made which no doubt has been extremely difficult. Although we can never know what you are experiencing emotionally, we appreciate the sacrifice and selflessness exhibited by anyone that cares enough to personally go through the heartache that you may experience and will pray that no matter which adoptive family you choose that our thoughts and prayers go with you during this time in your life.

We are both very excited about becoming parents for the first time. Leslie and I were married eight years ago and love each other more now than we did when we first met. Leslie and I have fun every day and our relationship has more love and respect infused into it than I ever thought possible. We have been contemplating adoption for some time because we knew that we would have challenges having our own children, and despite those challenges, never let go of our dream to become parents. We both have an enormous amount of love to share with a child and the energy and desire to provide the best home possible for any child that we are blessed enough to be chosen for.

When you take a look through the rest of our profile you’ll see how important family and friends are to us as well as the number of activities we regularly participate in. We both grew up in homes filled with love and laughter and were brought up within a tradition of Christian beliefs and values.

Our child will always be our top priority. I am in the medical sales and Leslie is the owner of her own business, which provides us the resources and flexibility to provide the level of love and attention that our child deserves. We live in a beautiful house, which is truly unique. It is nestled in the woods, but close to excellent schools and in a neighborhood that already has many children that are outside playing all the time. We love Grand Rapids and know what an excellent place it will be for a child to be raised in. We don’t anticipate leaving West Michigan and look forward to having a relationship with you should you consider us the right couple to entrust your child’s care to.

We welcome the opportunity an open adoption arrangement presents because of the increased love and support that two loving family’s bring to a child now and in the future. It would be the greatest honor to bring up your child. If you were to choose us to be the adoptive parents of your child please understand that they will be unconditionally loved and cared for throughout their lives.

We pray that you are being loved and cared for yourself and wish you the best in your decision. Leslie and I look forward to meeting you in person in the near future.
